My work investigates belonging, home, and connection, using painting and textiles to explore how people relate to space, memory, and identity. These themes often surface in my work, even when I am not consciously aware of them. I create as a way to explore and articulate emotions and ideas that resist simple explanation, inviting others into a shared space.

My practice is deeply intuitive, shaped by responses to unanswered questions and elusive feelings, but it is also informed by research and reflection that resonate with these themes. Through experimental mark-making, layered surfaces, and tactile processes, I consider how materials carry stories and shape understanding. Each work emerges from observation, process, and experimentation, inviting viewers to reflect on connection and belonging.

I exhibit across Scotland, often collaborating with artists and communities, seeking ways for art to foster dialogue and shared experience. Through my practice, I explore both self-understanding and the shared threads of connection that unite us all.

"These themes often surface in my work, even when I am not consciously aware of them. I create as a way to explore and articulate emotions and ideas that resist simple explanation, inviting others into a shared space of discovery. My practice is deeply intuitive, rooted in responses to unanswered questions and elusive feelings, but it is also grounded in rigorous research that resonates with these themes. Through this process, I seek not only to understand myself and my place within the world but also to highlight the shared threads of connection and being that unite us all."
